A Tribute to Our Friend, Lori Healey
Chicago has lost one of its most visionary and beloved leaders with the passing of Lori Healey.
Many of us had the privilege of collaborating with Lori throughout her remarkable career, witnessing firsthand her extraordinary ability to transform Chicago’s most ambitious ideas into reality. Lori defined what it means to be a respected business and civic leader. Her expertise and consistent track record rightfully earned her profound respect in both the public and private sectors.
What made Lori truly exceptional was her rare combination of qualities: an honest, decisive straight-shooter who consistently delivered results; a strategist with remarkable business acumen and political savvy; and a leader who never lost sight of what truly served Chicago’s best interests. She approached every challenge with unwavering integrity and a clear vision of how to transform obstacles into opportunities.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, we were fortunate to know Lori as a person of extraordinary generosity and character. Her loyalty to friends, colleagues and causes created a network of relationships that strengthened our entire city. The positive impact she had on countless individuals and organizations—by supporting city initiatives and mentoring and connecting the city’s other leaders—represents perhaps her most enduring legacy.
We are deeply grateful to have called Lori our friend and colleague. Though she is dearly missed, her legacy lives on in our city’s landscape—and in the hearts of all who knew her.
